THE RECONSTITUTION VERSION 2023.03.01
It Is Time To Begin Explaining Why This "First Draft" Is An Important Place To Start
I’ve been absent for several months on this blog, but I’ve been busily applying the finishing touches to the First Draft of America’s New Constitution. It contains 31,062 words in section headings and in the text. The Exegesis, Title Page, and Table of Contents (8 pages!) are not part of the 31,062 words.
Every week, I find something to change, or add something that I neglected after reading a book or essay about politics or Constitutional law.
The more tinkering I do, the more I realize how much the drafting of our New Constitution needs the insights and ideas of others. However, we all know that it is much easier to respond to a starting document rather than having a group of individuals try to build one by committee.
I will spend the next few months going through The Re-Constitution and explaining its provisions and advantages over our current mish mash of Court decisions, case law, and the written text of our current Constitution.
I welcome your comments and participation in this pocess, and I urge you to forward The Re-Constitution to others along with links to this blog.
